Picture Polish Festival

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you for all of the lovely comments you have left for my Beetle Water Marble manicure, I have been utterly bowled over by your support! Also I'd like to say thank you for following my blog, you are all wonderful and as a thank you when I finally reach 500 followers I will be holding a fabulous giveaway!

Anyway on to todays post. I am joining in with Llarowe's brand of the day showcase, here is my contribution to the Picture Polish range.

This is Festival, the first flakie polish that I have had on the blog so far. Festival is a combination of every possible colour flakie in a clear base. I have found that layering flakie polishes over a dark base is the way to get the best colours out of a flakie polish.

The flakies in this polish are a little bit sparse so for these swatches I used three coats of Festival over a base of Cult Nils Nevermore and topped it of with one coat of Seche Vite for added gloss.

At this angle the blue and turquoise flakies are more visible

Here you can see the gold and red flakies

Photographed with the flash on, this picks up the green flakies
