New China Glaze Holographic Collection - Infra Red and Strap On Your Moonboots

I have been so excited about this collection since its initial unveiling last autumn and its finally here, the new Holographic Collection by China Glaze!

Just to get a few things out of the way first. The holographic effect is nothing like the Color Club Halo Hues, the China Glaze holos are more subtle and a lot smoother. They are definitely reminiscent of the texture of the  OMG collection but not as Strong in the holo department. Personally I think they are all brilliant, I love the fact that they have the smooth, fine textured holo, its nice to see something completely different from the recent holos that have been released by Color Club and Urban Outfitters. However if you are looking for knock your socks off holo then these might not be for you.

Each polish has the same formula and covers effortlessly in two coats, none of the swatches here have a top coat on them as I didn't think they needed it and I liked the slightly satin finish. I have photographed each polish in natural, overcast lighting so you can see how they look without fancy high powered lights and in the absence of sun here in the UK i have used flash photography to show off the holographic effect.

Oh be still my beating heart! This polish is a bright, hot pink and has Hussy written all over it :-)

Strap On Your Moonboots

Strap On Your Moonboots is a dusty blue based plum, its actually very hard to put a label on the colour because its so unique.
